A review of the social protection policies and responses in health in the times of COVID-19 crisis

The research entitled “social protection in Health during covid 19” began with a review of international standards regarding social protection in health, followed by an examination of the Constitution of Nepal and various policies and legislations related to social protection in health. The research then delved into a review of the specific health protection measures undertaken by the Government of Nepal during the pandemic. Based on this review, the research explored the current context, opportunities and challenges, and recommended actions to strengthen social health protection in Nepal.

Haliya research

In collaboration with Mukta Haliya Mahasangh and Agriculture and Water Resources Committee, the team of Mukta Haliya Mahasangh and Public Policy Pathshala conducted field study and interaction in Jajarkot, Surkhet, Darchula, Baitadi, Doti and Dadeldhura. In Kailali and Kanchanpur, on-site studies and discussions and interactions were held with the stakeholders. The Agriculture and Water Resources Committee was chaired by Gagan Thapa and was attended by committee members and representatives of Mukta Haliya Federation and the PPP team.
